This blog isn’t going to be very long but I felt I really needed to share this piece of wisdom I found while reading through loads of articles related to, not surprisingly, health and fitness.
I am sure a lot of you know about the upcoming International Yoga Day on 21st June 2016, and there is a lot being written about the practice and benefits of yoga. This particular article, written by Stella Photi about International Yoga Day and living a yoga lifestyle, had one particular nugget that caught my eye and it’s this I wanted to share with you. Not because I think everyone should be doing yoga, but I do think we should all be doing this. This is:-
As stella says, “Not in a vain, egotistical way but enough to really care about your body and mind. Eat a clean and healthy diet, exercise your body and keep your mind healthy through a regular mediation practice and constant learning. Invest in yourself. It is not a luxury but a necessity.”
Now I know not everyone can or wants to mediate, or do yoga and that’s fine. But eating well/better and exercising more is something we can all do for ourselves. It’s crucial to, ‘invest in yourself, it is not a luxury but a necessity”. You owe it to yourself to take care of your body. It’s where you live.
